I weas wondering where I can get Ubuntu Cd's. I'm using 8.04 which I installed using a Cd which came with a book. I'm wondering where to get CD's like that but for later versions.
I prefer to have a Cd rather than getting an ISO and burning my own. Any suggestions?

Your nearest shop that sells magazines. Many computer magazines come with a CD or DVD.

You probably want Ubuntu 10.04 LTS first, before trying the very latest ..

BTW: You could easily create a CD using Windows, by following info on Ubuntu download page.

There are many online shops selling CD's, for example http://www.linuxcd.org/

Thanks for all the replies. Used the Ubuntu site to download .iso and made cd. I'm using my 10.04 LTS right this minute - How cool is that?
And thanks for the manual link - a handbook is always nice to have.
And yes, the Ubuntu 8.04 I've been using came with a book I bought years ago, but I'll probably try the Lubuntu.
Thanks again, you all are very nice to respond to people in need. :D

You are welcome.

By the way, in stead of buring CD's you can install the ISO to a USB stick and boot from that, if your computer is new-ish.
