Simple. List as many specs as you can about the computer you're typing on and the software you run.

Three computers in our home

My PC. Dual core 2.4 ghz (don't remember the processor specifically), 4 gigs of RAM, crummy Nvidia G100 video card. Best part of the computer is the old school IBM model M keyboard I type on.
Running Kubuntu 11.10

My wife's laptop. G4 powerbook. 1.4 ghz? I forget. Runs the last version of OS X to come out for powerPC.

My hobby computer. Commodore Amiga 1200. Expanded to a 68030 processor with 56 mhz, and 64 megs of RAM. Amiga OS 3.9

I was expecting for graphics card, RAM, screen size, but not what software you use.

- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz processor
- 4 GB RAM
- intel integrated graphics
- a crappy wireless chipset (Broadcom BCM4312 LP-PHY)

- a penguin key rather than a Windows key (ok, fine, it's a sticker)

Software:
- Debian sid (64-bit)
- dual boot with Ubuntu 10.04 (32-bit) although Debian is my primary OS and I just keep Ubuntu around for when I break my Debian install

- Iceweasel 8.0
- full disk encryption for the operating systems and Truecrypt volumes for the external drives

See the sig for my main box. 17" and 1440x900, though I use it with a 24" 1080p at home. (If someone will make a 20" laptop with great specs I'll be your first customer.)

I also use an Acer Iconia tab, rooted of course + maxed out storage. Tegra 2 and all the usual stuff that accompanies it.

I use an ASUS F3SV with Win7 Pro and Lubuntu for Stepmania, Electric Sheep, and backup for my main laptop at gigs. Specs are here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220162

I haven't used my CR-48 since I got the Iconia, but it's still here. Intel Atom, 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD, ChromeOS beta.

I also have a cheap unmanaged VPS with a whopping 256MB of RAM. It runs a server version of whatever distro happens to catch my fancy.

I carry around a Leopold Otaku keyboard which I use with all my machines whenever possible (even the tablet). Blank keycaps, Cherry MX blue switches, ~57dB of tikka takka.
