Konqueror won't stick

How do I get Konqueror to "stick" in the launcher? I have placed a tic in the "Keep in Launcher" option, but when I restart the system, Konqueror is no longer there. Where does it go? and how can I get it to stay put?

Also, when I place it in the launcher, when I click on the icon, it just blinks a few times and nothing else happens (or seems to happen?? something may be working in the background??). I just does not open like I thought it should for a file manager. Should it actually open a window or just blink at me?
