Ever since I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04, the preview window in xSane doesn't paint. I only see a narrow band of pixels along the top and left edges. Control tooltips show up as I move the cursor around and will work. I can do and show a preview scan if I can guess the location of the correct control.

I'm 95% sure this is a xSane/Ubuntu problem. Everything worked fine with my Brother DCP-165C Multi-function printer before 11.04 but not after. I recently replaced that printer with an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 using the HPLIP toolkit and have the same problem.

Simple scan works fine.

I have not and will not upgrade to 11.10. I'll try 12.04 LTS when it come out but Unity does not do it for me at this time.

Hardware is ASUS M4A88TD MB with AMD 880G/SB850 chipset, AMD Athlon II X2 240, on board Radeon HD4250 GP using ATI/AMD FGLRX driver, and 4 GB of DDR3, 1333 dual channel RAM.

Googled and Binged my head off and found nothing that seems to apply.

Any suggestions?
