Hi have upgraded to 11.10 and wan't to run deja-dupe for a storage. It is installed true soft-ware center, but I cannot find a launcher. Tried to run throu terminal, but OPTION are asked for ( I want to configure it)

PS. Does deja-dupe be dependent to mono? I have cleaned out mono cos I don't want to be dependent to MS or other propretarian big company. Anyway synaptic or software center should in that case installed needed dependency...or?

/Cheers

I believe it is called "Backup".

I believe it is called "Backup".

No it's another program:

Azyx@Black:~$ backup
The program 'backup' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
sudo apt-get install openafs-client
Azyx@Black:~$ Backup
No command 'Backup' found, did you mean:
Command 'packup' from package 'packup' (universe)
Command 'backup' from package 'openafs-client' (universe)
Backup: command not found

deja-dup in terminal, just give me help for deja-dup

It seems that Ubuntu recently change how deja-dupe works, cos on my 10.04 LTS deja-dup starts from terminal with the command 'deja-dup'. An Deja-dup icon also appears under 'System tools'.

Now it seems that you access deja-dup from 'System tools' --> 'System settings' --> 'Backup'

Feels like a compleatly new systems :( Ok. things tend to bee more collected and organized, but it's hard to learn how it works now. It toke some time to find it. Every second is a second closer to the grave ;)
