What's the absolute best Midi Sequencer for use with Ubuntu 11.04? I'm trying Rosegarden at the moment, but struggling with it. Can't seem to assign midi channels to each track.

I don't know which one is the best, but I use Muse.
I guess the best one is the one you learn to use. ;)

qtractor is another option, developed by the qjackctl author,

seq24 is a very nice MIDI Sequencer but since i had trouble to keep everything in sync :( i figured that renoise is the best solution for me
