I'm trying a gradual migration to a 'clean' Unity desktop and want to retain most of my desktop icons from the Classic view I used with 11.04 and previously.
But about 50% of the time when I boot up, no desktop icons appear (dash/launcher are fine). Only solution I have found is to log out then log back in again, and then they always come back.
Any ideas to fix this anyone??
