can you increase xubuntu icon font size to be the same as gnome? 11.10

What do you mean by icon font size? You can go to Applications -> Settings -> Settings Manager -> Appearance and adjust the font size. If you open Thunar, you can hold Ctr and scroll the middle button to adjust the icon size.
