I just switched from 32 bit to 64 bit. I had windows 7 and ubuntu 10.04 all nicely installed.
Then I discovered that I accidentally installed it on the external harddrive.
Then when I unplugged the external hd and tried to reinstall with the ubuntu cd, I just get a flashing white line upper left of the screen.
I tried to go into the bios to change things, but got lost and no luck yet.
So now I have two problems:
1) How do I get it to boot from the cd
and...
2) How do I get all my pictures and videos (of my children) back from the external hd?
Is there a program that does that with linux?
Thank you in advance
