Are there any Linux IRC clients that support automatic display of images when a link is received (a la Colloquy for OS X)?

Bonus points for audio and video links. :D

Bump.

Anyone know of a client which does this?

I've never seen an IRC client support this, but given anyone can post any URL I'm not sure this would be a good idea anyway. Think about it, someone goes into a channel and starts posting pr0n URL's or worse URLs to illegal content. Now your IP is being logged on all those sites, and that's a SCARY thing.

So even if this feature were an option I'm not sure it would be a save option to have enabled.

Agreed! Especially when those logs are posted online at pastebin.

Pidgin is able to display inline images. It can also play videos (https://code.google.com/p/pidgin-embeddedvideo/) from Youtube links etc. within the chat window.
That being sad, Pidgin is still an instant messaging application and no IRC client.

grove's (https://grove.io/) web client also supports inline images, but it's not Free Software.
