View Full Version : [ubuntu] upgraded and this error show on login

Hello,
since i upgraded to 11.10 and the attached error shows when i restart.

on sleep and resume it doesn't only on restart

I have Thinkpad W520 with NVidia Quadro 2000M video card and this is my xorg.conf content:

you should not use a xorg.conf as actual kernel directly deals with X.

sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf

renamed it to xorg.conf.9.nov.2011 and restarted , yet i still get the same error

any other hints?

i've got nothing for your error, but as i read in another thread, the upgrades tend to be messy and not install correctly. On the other hand a whole fresh install goes flawless, so you should backup your data and copy it back...just a suggestion should you not be able to resolve your problem

thats serious to think of! people should be allowed to upgrade without issues.

btw been doing it for many years without issues
