just wanted to say how pleased i was in this music player Guayadeque. for me it is working flawless and fast. banshee was not updating my library like it should. rhythmbox was freezing or just shutting down when ever it feels like it.

guayadeque is in the standard ubuntu packages. I think it is by far the best linux audio player for internet radio, particularly shoutcast.

It's in the repos (universe). Just install it via software centre or apt-get. A while ago there was a long thread on here that the dev used to get feedback from testers as the development proceeded:

Also, the version in the Software Center is fairly outdated. For the newest version with multiple collection support and many other new features, install from svn.

It is an excellent music manager. I have the latest svn installed and I am very happy with it.

I also have Clementine installed because it is also a great piece of software and I can't choose between the two.
