View Full Version : Problem With Jdeveloper 11g

Hello Friends,
I have story about installing ubuntu 11.10, I am new and beginner
in this kind of OS.
I like to work with it, but here is the problems:
I download jdevstudio11115install.bin and then I followed the installation instructions and everything was ok but I couldn't open jdeveloper or i have no clue to open it despite i installed and the terminal opened home/oracle/middleware/jdeveloper etc..
now i do not know from where should i start in windows you know just install and create shortcut in the desktop all you have to do is dblclick on it and start engine. does anyone here can help me to start my work step by step it badly necessary .

i can see the date on your messages is 3 weeks ago, and you should have found it out by now, but for reference, there is a file jdev you can run from the terminal prompt to start jdeveloper. it is buried quite deeply so you have to look real hard. something like ~/Oracle/Middleware/jdeveloper/jdev/bin. for example, on my system it is /home/richard/Oracle/Middleware/jdeveloper/jdev/bin/jdev
