View Full Version : [ubuntu] installing flash plugin

Hi everyone,

In firefox,I want to open a .swf(flash) file
the browser is downloading the file instead of running it.Then I come to know that I have to install flash plugin for that.How can i insatll it on my laptop(ubuntu 11.04).

please help me .......

Use synaptic package manager, or software center.

Enter,


flashplugin-installer

I have already installed it. But I can't use it .

Try installing it not as a standalone package, but as part of the Ubuntu restricted extras package, available through the Software Center

i have installed through software center only,but i can't use it.


I'm also facing the same problem, I got it installed but firefox is giving me grief when tryna view vids on youtube. I removed it and reinstalled a bunch of times; still didnt work.

i have installed that flash-aid plug-in but it repeats the same .
