I've run 10.04 LTS on a Toshiba Satellite A series without pain for some time. I woke up this morning and couldn't get anything past pre-boot! After the pre boot splash I get a cursor, and nothing more! I've REISUB'd a half dozen times, removed the battery etc. to no effect. I had some data saved to Ubuntu One, but many files remained unsynched.
How do I diagnose this issue? Thank you for your consideration.
