Buying a Asus x101h

Did a bit of research and found kde-plasma(Seems good -- http://kde.org/workspaces/plasmanetbook/ ) and fuduntu(claim best performance ,battery usage and latest kernel )

Wondering which one to choose.Have ubuntu on my desktop and wanted some change(as to installing Ubuntu netbook remix). So,downloaded both plasma and fuduntu -- wanted to know which is the best performance/development(web development) wise ??

Wanted an expert opinion

plasma-netbook is horrible buggy on oneiric, the plasma widgets crash often and the activity overlay just freezes here...

fuduntu is a good choice. Though keep in mind that fuduntu is fedora based. So you won't get the bounties from the ubuntu ecosystem (huge community, PPAs, ubuntu file sync, ect.)

On the other hand fuduntu is pre-configured with a very nice theme and has some power saving tweaks enabled by default, so you save yourself some hours of tweaking.

If you want to stick with ubuntu go with gnome-shell. I use it on my 10" netbook and it rocks :)

i said that i am using ubuntu oneiric with gnome-shell on my netbook and i'm pretty happy with it.

Fuduntu is an alternative Distribution to ubuntu, so the question is: Do you want a ubuntu based or do you want a fedora based distro?
