Download can't be finished

Hello,
after unpacking my new laptop I wanted to add Unbuntu to my window 7. I followed the instructions of the web page of Ubuntu and then got the next message near the very end of the download:
An error occured:
unsupscriptable object
For more information, please see the log file:
the log file is in the c drive
if I click ok, all is gone
I have done this three times and have no idea what goes wrong.

Thanks for this, i will look into that, although I was assuming that I was doing a real download and installation.
