Hi,

I just built a HTPC with a Zotac mini ITX mobo, 4 OCZ SSDs in raid 0, 4 GB ram, and an AMD dual 3.0 core CPU.

For a monitor I have a 47" Vizio TV hooked up to it. Ubuntu 11.10 boots fine, but when you try to maximize anything, The screen goes completely white. I wanted to watch the new episode of Dexter, and thought this had something to do with the default media player, so I installed VLC. Same thing. It also does this with Firefox. If I make the window about 1/3 the size of the screen it will display what I want. If I make it bigger it goes completely white.

I do have the proprietary ATI drivers installed, so I have a feeling that this may be a hardware problem. I only have one PCIe X1 for a graphics card. If I need one, fine, but, I just need some verification that this isn't a software problem.

Thanks in advance.
