Bout time someone actually stood up to Apple. People slag on Microsoft all the time for their anti-competitive behaviour, but give Apple a pass when they're in fact much, much worse than MS. I guess all those Starbucks drinking, Apple toting hipsters give a 'counter-culture' image (hence all the 'occupy Wall-Street' people using Apple products), meanwhile Foxconn is working their slaves round the clock trying to keep up the quotas (when their factory isn't being shut down by fires or suicides).

On a more serious note, this is good news. Maybe we'll start to see more (and better) Android tablets now.

This thread should be closed because it implies that Apple is capable of making a mistake.

I think this part is worth quoting:

Apparently, Apple accused nt-k in November 2010 of "copying" the iPad and went straight for a customs ban. As a result, Spanish customs seized shipments from China containing nt-k's Android-based tablet. The little company temporarily appeared on an EU-wide list of product pirates, but worst of all, after some correspondence between the two companies, Apple also brought criminal charges on December 9, 2010 (as it had previously threatened in writing).

Criminal charges. Over patented designs. False accusations of piracy. You see what we have to put up with thanks to people who believe in this Intellectual Property nonsense?

Thank goodness.

Beyond Apple making a mistake, it appears to be blatant conscious corporate decisions to manipulate the legal system to gain an unfair marketing advantage; which in itself is a huge mistake.

The true test is will Apple blow this off and be unblemished by it, or will it start a new trend worldwide in legal system court cases/ decisions against Apple?

I really hope Apple goes too far with their lawsuits painting themselves into a corner. How many refrigerators look alike? How many TVs/Monitors are near identical with the exception of the underlying software? Oh no! My walmart book case looks identical to the one you can get at ikea... I hope they don't sue.

Apple is really pathetic in the business practices.
