View Full Version : [xubuntu] Save full session (not just frames) in Ion3?

Hi,

Is it possible, and if so how, to save a session in Ion3 using something other than its built-in mechanism? Ion's built-in save session only saves the frames but not the applications. If not possible, I suppose as a workaround I could run what I need from Ion3's config file but if that's my only option, how do I run something in a specific frame? How does Ion3 identify its frames?

Thank you.

I don't use Ion (http://tuomov.iki.fi/software/), so I have no idea. But couldn't you just modify cfg_ion.lua to open whatever you want autostarted?

I'm getting my info from https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ion3

Hence my subsequent questions.

If not possible, I suppose as a workaround I could run what I need from Ion3's config file but if that's my only option, how do I run something in a specific frame? How does Ion3 identify its frames?

Thank you.
