Hi. I figured I would give ubuntu a shot, so here I am. Only thing is, I have no idea what I'm doing. I can't even find the applications so i can open the terminal-thingy. Would someone please give my harried brain a break?

Thanks bunches!

What version of ubuntu are you using? I assume the latest..11.10? And if so are you using the default desktop which is called unity?

Ctrl-Alt-T is, I believe, a shortcut.

As for apps in general, can you not locate them in the main bar?
