software centre not visible

I'm using 11.10 with the gnome windows system. Synaptic tells me that "software centre" is installed but I can not find it anywhere. How do I find/start it? If I logon using ubuntu interface it is visible.

Hi jamaas,

You call run it with the following command in a terminal

software-center

Have fun finding out :-)

And if this does not open it, try and post any error messages you see so we can try and figure out what is happening.

It does work quite well thanks. No idea though why it doesn't show up in any menus.
