View Full Version : [ubuntu] "Open With" and "Custom Command"

Just switched from 11.04 with Gnome to 11.10 with Unity. I have some files that I have to open with Wine Applications. I would like to associate these files to the Wine app. How do I do that? When I right click on the file and select "Open With Other Application" I don't get an option (like I use to) call "Enter Custom Command" where I could enter the wine invocation for the application.

What am I missing?

I have the same problem. It really is roadblock when I need to associate a program that is not in the list with certain file types.

That's what I was thinking too .... seems to be a fairly big usability regression of function.

I tried to open a bug on this by using "ubuntu-bug" but that's not working either...

sigh

Thanks arisp!

It didn't work for me, but I've posted a question on that forum entry to see what I did wrong ...
