Hey guys. With Emerald it was easy to make window corners smoothly rounded but with only Metacity, it's not possible. And that way windows of Ubuntu look so 90s. Is it possible to do that in 11.10?

What do you mean by "rounded"? Can you provide a screenshot? Ubuntu 11.10 doesn't use Metacity but Compiz (at least by default). Metacity can select from a number of themes, I think some of them have rounded corners.

FWIW, GNOME Shell's window manager (Mutter), has smooth rounded window borders in 3.2. I believe it was planned for compiz in Oneiric, but it didn't get in. I can't seem to find a bug report, but I think it's now planned for 12.04.
