11.10 Upgrade, No Keyboard Eee PC 1005HAB

Like the title says, I upgraded to 11.10 and now I get to the logon screen and the keyboard and mouse dont work... 11.04 Still boots fine off the SD Card and everything works. My computer is an Eee Pc 1005 HAB. Im in Afghanistan so redownloading the 11.10 image and making a new SD card is a pain.

What log do I look at to see what is going on?
ANy ideas for an easy fix?
Opinions on doing a fresh install back to 11.04 or downloading a fresh image for 11.10?
Anyone else have a 1005 working properly under 11.1)?

didnt really help... but I have downloaded the ISO now and 11.10 works just fine booting from it... Sooooo Clean install it is.
