Ubuntu 11.04: Menu widgets doesn't work with PyQT4 and WxPython

I am trying to develop a GUI with PyQT4 and I am surprise that as soon as I want to set up a Menu it doesn't appear when we run the code;
this morning I try with WxPython and it's the same thing
I installed both PyQT4 and Wx Python from the Ubuntu 11.04 synaptic,

all other widgets seem to work well except the Menu

does somebody have an idea or run into the same problem?

Sorry, but it works well, I am not used to the new ubuntu presentation the menu appears on the top window bar
