What are the dis/advantages of using Google's DNS?

Depends if the DNS available from your ISP sucks or not.

Google DNS doesn't offer a lot of the extras you get from other alternatives like DynDNS and OpenDNS, so if your ISP is giving you the same kind of speed you get from Google then there's probably not much incentive to switch.

I can tell it's faster but this is faster as in the kind of faster that most people mistake for simple belief. It's not anything majorly concerning or pressing in speed.
