Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to get an older version of gnome shell, like the one that looked like this: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JSR8IC77Ub4/TGI7upt62cI/AAAAAAAAA38/Ls5TEoVDYdU/s1600/Screenshot-4.png
I used gnome shell beta about 8 months ago, and it looked like that. I just tried it again today and now it looks like: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/97/GNOME_Shell.png/800px-GNOME_Shell.png
The older search showed more information, I just don't like it anymore. Does anyone know at which version they changed it? Can I compile the older version from source? My guess also is that older distributions of Ubuntu still use the older gnome shell if you install it with apt. Is that true?
