The most stupid question I ever posted here.

I am on Kubuntu KDE 4.7 and I want to start a terminal with a shortcut and ctrl+alt+t doesnt work and If I go to shortcuts config I cant find no option to open terminal

How the hell do I assign a shortcut to open a terminal?

I haven't used KDE in awhile. You can try using the main menu, find the konsole entry, right click, and a list of options should show up. At least there must be one that allows you to add shortcut/launcher to panel.
Hope this helps, I haven't used KDE since it went Plasma.

@lightwarrior that doesnt work.

I went to KDE because I dont like Gnome3

I found a way:

Go to shortcuts - personalized shortcuts - add - global command
In the action tab write "konsole" (without "") and put the shortcut you want.

That's it

Easier way: right click on kickoff icon>edit applications, choose application, go to advanced tab and you can add shortcut there :)

On 11.04 you could log in using "classic" option (I haven't logged like this on 11.10 yet) and it would show the old gnome screen/menu as in 10.04

No, in 11.10 if you log in using classic it will run something new "Gnome 3 Classic" which sucks.

Too bad. Probably it's time to try other options, perhaps XFce or Enlightenment.

I already did, I am on KDE (Kubuntu) and so far I am loving it

Open a konsole (terminal), right-click somewhere on the title bar, Advanced, Window Shortcut, click the wrench, enter Ctrl-Alt-t or whatever, click 'Ok'.
