I get a message listing a mms link but I can not copy the text. I find that annoyance before. Why can copy the text in the message and use the listed link?

Chrome / chromium does not natively handle that wmv video.

Can you play it in externally in totem? If not you may be missing a codec :( simple to install though ;)

You cannot copy and paste the link out of the box as the text is read only. Nothing stopping you copying the url by hand though :P

I watched it (or at least the start of it). Clicked on it in FF and was offered the option of using Totem. It played OK.

I just upgraded to 11.10 and the video now launches totem from the chrome browser.

Works fine for me. I just ricght clicked the video thing and clicked copy link location (in FF, maybe Chrome won't let you do it for whatever reason)
