In the new 11.10, I can't seem to find an option to select keyboard layout for entering the login password. This could be a problem for desktops where some users use other layouts than the system standard, for example the french Azerty or Dvorak. In previous releases, it has been easy to change layout in the login screen.
When entering the password for unlocking the screen or installing software, the layout in use is the one I prefer for my user. (Norwegian Dvorak)
