blender export scripts

Where is blender 2.60 putting/reading the import/export scripts. Wikibooks says it is in .blender/scripts/. I have put the example script found at: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro/Advanced_Tutorials/Python_Scripting/Export_scripts
in:

.blender/
.blender/scripts/
.blender/2.60/
.blender/2.60/scripts/
.blender/2.60/config/
.blender/2.60/config/scripts/

to no avail

any help would be appreciated.;)
