Hello,

As the posts says, I was hoping a few of you wouldn't mind making a recommendation for a quality python forum to join. While not new to Linux, I am new to Python and (other than the odd shell script) progammming. I just picked up a beginners book so I'm hoping the site as good beginners support.

Thank you in advance!

I doubt Python is so difficult it requires a whole forum, but there are lots of sites like this: http://www.learnpython.org/

There is www.python-forum.org... though it has some interesting denizens ;)

Stackoverflow.com has a very active Python group...

Then there is the python-tutor mailing list which tends to be very helpful and pretty understanding of beginners. You might want to subscribe via Gmane (which provides a mail-to-news gateway) to keep it (and other mailing lists) from filling your mail box.

This section of the forum is pretty good too. Always got quality responses when I asked here.
In fact, I think this one is a bit more active than the other programming forums.
