I am trying to install Ubuntu 11.10 to a RAID 5 array (trying to set up the array while I install). Instructions here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/SoftwareRAID)
I did this a year ago and it worked fine, but now those instructions just get me nowhere.
Is there an updated set of instructions or tutorial for configuring a RAID 5 setup during install?
I think I finally got everything configured, but I had to manually go back and tell the system to use the partitions (the auto partitioner kept marking them as "do not use").
And what is "physical volume for raid" for? If I selected that option, the software raid configuration couldn't even see the drives.
I still don't know if I actually got a swap set up either.
