11.10, 11.04, 10.10 - those are release dates... there is no such thing as 11.1 or 10.1

Given you currently have 62 beans - it might be safe to assume that you've read 62 threads... were none of them ubuntu related?

Suggest you go to the Distrowatch.com website. Down on the bottom left side of the main page, they have links to reviews of 11.10. You could browse through those and see, first-hand, what is new in 11.10.
