For quite some time now, I've been trying to remove the 2.6.35-30 image as my laptop just can't seem to handle it. The .35-27 image works just fine and I have my grub set to always load .35-27. Is there a way to remove the -30 image even though it's a "newer" image? I've tried using the terminal, synoptic package manager, all just trying to remove that single thing, but am un-successful.

If I am stuck with it, I can deal. But it's kinda like a challenge and I want to see if anyone else has had issues with that Ubuntu Linux image or knows how I can get rid of it.

Thanks in Advance!!!

In synaptic mark that kernel for complete removal. After that find kernel witch works and lock up version, and you will prevent kernel to update.
