Hi,

I want to install Ubuntu 11.10 and i'm using the live cd. Upon starting i don't get the installation or try dialog. Instead the live cd stops at the login screen where I need to enter a username and password. How can I login since no user has been created. Is there a guest account if so what's the username and password?

With the alternate CD i get an error when installing the base packages it seems the system can't install/configure the kernel

Tnx for the help already !
Regards,
T

This sometimes happens when the ISO file you burned is corrupted or you have a bad burn. Did you check the disk for errors?

No, I didn't check. I will do it and come back with the result.
Tnx again for the feedback !
