Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out how to change Unity-2D's window manager to something other than Metacity (ie stumpwm.) I've followed the directions for xmonad:
http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Xmonad/Using_xmonad_in_Unity_2D
And the answer outlined here:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/61419/change-the-window-manager-unity-2d-launches-on-login

My customized session shows up, but when I select it it bumps me back to the login screen. I think I need to register stumpwm as an alternative window manager, but I don't know how to "update alternatives"

Any thoughts?

Friendly bump,

I don't expect that someone has solve the exact same issue, but could someone point me to the documentation on how Unity-2d handles the window manager?
