My card is nvidia 310m. I have one laptop and one screen to build dual screens. It happens sometimes when I awake the laptop from auto-suspending, the lock dialog doesn't show, so I can't input my password and I have to log out and in to restart gnome shell.

It never happens in one screen situation. So I think it may be a bug of gnome 3.

By the way, after several days experience, I prefer unity to gnome3, although I admit that gnome3 is cooler than unity.

I think it's this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screensaver/+bug/848562

GNOME is planning on putting screen locking in the compositor at some point, which should make it more robust.
