I've been fighting with redoing my box all day and it's driving me insane.

I just finished d/l 10.10 and installed it onto the USB key via the little utility.

When I get to the install screen and click on Install Ubuntu Server

I get this:

Boot Loader:
/install/initrd.gz: read error @ 7147577

Does that mean the ISO was corrupt? I didn't MD5 check it because.. well I forgot about ti before creating the USB key.

Either the ISO was corrupted... You could check the md5sum to check it.. or it might have been corrupted while installing it to your USB Key.

My vote is for the copying it to the key, as I just did a check and it was fine.

I've gone back to my 7.10 disc in the meantime to at least get me up and running again.

I have the same problem...
I've tried to install both versions of Ubuntu Server and 12.04 and 11.10 but received same boot error.
