[wubi] on a netbook, battery and performance

Hi,

I plan to buy an Asus Eee PC 1215B netbook with a preinstalled windows 7 and then install Ubuntu 11.10 using wubi. So I want to ask you for any first-hand experience with this combination. How's battery life compared with Windows 7 or with Ubuntu installed from scratch? And how's performance? Is any drop in speed observable in daily tasks (internet browsing etc.)?

According to Ubuntu Friendly it only gets a 1-star rating on 11.10:

There may be some workarounds to help with those problems e.g. suspend, but basically there will be some effort.
