Hey guys,
what with 11.10 out, I thought I'd give it a try, but I didn't want to permanently upgrade in case I wasn't happy with any changes. To get around this I figured I would simply install 11.10 on a usb drive I own (8GB) using the disk creator that comes with Ubuntu. So it appeared that all went as planned, but when I finally restarted my laptop and booted from the usb, I was presented with what I assume were some boot options, but I couldnt read them at all because the font was all messed up. I decided to choose the first highlighted option, then the screen blanked and nothing happened after that. I am using a Lenovo V570 laptop with all stock hardware.
