webcam won/t work on 11.10

webcam worked fine with cheese on Ubuntu 11.04 but won't work on Ubuntu 11.10

What is the Brand and model of your computer?

I have the exact same problem. Web cam worked fine before now when I try to use it the computer locks up. I am running a HP desktop with a Intel Core2 CPU 4400@2.0GHzx2, The webcam is a Logitech C200. The microphone works good, just not the camera.
I am running Ubuntu 11.10 upgraded from 11.04. I am thinking about doing a fresh clean install hoping that will work better.

I have the same problem....webcam worked great in 10.10 but only worked sporadically with 11.04 and 11.10....very disappointing.
