Is this even possible? I've searched about this and got mixed results. I know you can have both os on the same hard drive (in my case, I got a 128g ssd in my laptop with 1tb external hard drive) and so I'd rather not have both OS on my ssd.

I'd like to move Win7 to my external hard drive (I need to be able to use MS office 2010 and a game) but for everything else, Ubuntu. So I'd like Ubuntu to be the os on my ssd.

Is this even possible, and if so, how?

Please don't suggest vbox, I tried it three times and all it did was crash even though my hardware is more than enough to run it. (tried booting Ubuntu through it)
