I have 64-bit Ubuntu 11.04 installed on an Thinkpad T520. I constantly get desktop freezes while using LibreOffice. I think the problem is compiz. I would like to disable "Composite", but then I loose the multiple desktops which are really helpful when I work. Is there a way to get rid of Composite and still keep the multiple desktop functionality?
Alternatively, I wonder if there is any fix for this compiz problem or if anyone is working on it.
