http://localhost:631/ it`s the most retarded thing that i have ever seen. Do you think that an average user can install a printer ?

And using the setting - printers gives me an error

why can i not install if i find the print$ folder on a computer, and i have to get into learning to use a stupid cups server to install a simple printer. this is nuts.

and the applet from ubuntu setting gives me this :"FirewallD is not running. Network printer detection needs services mdns, ipp, ipp-client and samba-client enabled on firewall."

using ubuntu 11.10

You can still run system-config-printer.

When i tried in ubuntu 11.10 , the system-config-printer had a bug.
Now in Ubuntu 12.04 it`s ok :)

but i still think that cups is way to complicated :P
