View Full Version : [ubuntu] No Sound Ubuntu 11.04 on Intel N10/ICH7 with codec ALC662

Somebody could help me to solve this problem?


Please, examine these informations:

- The hardware was working very nice under WinXP SP3. In this environment the sound is OK.
- After that I had found the fault with Ubuntu Linux 11.04, I tested Ubuntu 11.10 with the new kernel 3.0.0 on the same hardware without success. NO SOUND, MUTE.
- After to test with Ubuntu 11.10, I installed the Fedora 15 and repeated the tests. Again, NO SOUND, MUTE.
- So, I installed the Ubuntu 11.04 again and updated it
- Then I executed alsamixer command and setup all controls to change the “zero” values to others values except those controls locked (only 2), following I executed “alsactl store” command.
- After these startup procedures I got these reports:
