I'd like to try out the Xubuntu desktop in 11.10, see if I like it etc. I've read that I can just do
sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop
but when I tried that a few versions ago I ended up with an entirely Xubuntu "branded" machine (boot screen, login screen, etc.). I don't want that, I'd just like to add it as an option. Can I just install XFCE, or will I be missing Ubuntu specific stuff?
Thanks
