a few questions on u10.04.3_64 (system language english; localization -should be- dutch):
1. when installing a new language and/or localization, with the system/adminstration/language support tool, it doesn't show up in the list. how come?
2. can one repair missing localization files from installation cd (when 1. apparently doesn't work,)?
3. is it possible -or better- better to restore localizations with a command line (update-locale LANG=nl_NL doesn't do anything though)?
4. seems like a serious problem for a lts version, but it seems rather difficult to create a bug report about it (do have a launchpad account)
btw. why are there so many different versions of english localizations installed by default?
thanks up front for any answers.
regards,
