View Full Version : [ubuntu] Will Ubuntu work with Samsung netbook?

I have just bought my girlfirend a Samsung netbook(N150) but it has Grimdows XP on it!! Has anyone had any issues installing Ubuntu onto these machines as I'm sure it would make the thing a lot zippier.

Voria has done an excellent job adapting Ubuntu to Samsung netbooks since '09 (at least).

Don't know if you want to keep Windows and install Ubuntu as a dual boot. I installed Ubuntu onto my Samsung nc10 from a flashdrive iso and wiped out the copy of Windows. All the happier for it.

If you want to keep Windows alongside, then I think olain's suggestion is sensible.
